In honor of the 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War, education staff at Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site have created an original board game called "Crossing the Neutral Zone!" Stretching from the Croton River in the north to upper Manhattan in the south, the game makes a circuitous route through Westchester County and Philipse Manor. Along the way you'll encounter people and places straight from the real history of the Revolution. Work in teams to go around battles, avoid being captured as spies, and make your way safely across the Westchester Neutral Zone.
This game is designed for ages 8 and up, but younger children can partner with adults to play. Great for families, older children, and adults!
Multiple games will be available to play in teams of up to 6.
Registration is not necessary for this program, which is included with general museum admission. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
After this program, head down the street to Yonkers Brewing Company (94 Main Street, Yonkers) for our Toast to 250 Tavern Night program! In partnership with Revolutionary Westchester 250. We'll be hosting tavern games at 2:00 PM. Learn more.
