Mikhail Svetlov, a Grammy-nominated bass and former principal soloist with the Bolshoi Theatre, has earned international acclaim for his commanding performances in a wide range of leading roles. His repertoire spans from the title role in Don Giovanni and Mephistopheles in Faust, to Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Colline in La Bohème, Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin, and the title roles in Boris Godunov and Verdi’s Attila.
Svetlov’s distinguished career has taken him to many of the world’s most prestigious stages, including La Scala, the Metropolitan Opera, Houston Grand Opera, L’Opéra de Montréal, New York City Opera, and London’s Royal Albert Hall.
